My parents were never very big Halloween people, nor were their friends. Although they would take us trick-or-treating, they would never dress up for the occasion. I didn’t really understand that adults did such a thing until I was a teenager. When I was that age, I loved to dress up in spooky costumes. I would dress up as villains from slasher film’s, such as Jason, Freddy Krueger, or Leatherface from the Texas chainsaw massacre. I’m sure I terrorize more than my share of little kids but it wasn’t too long until I realized that those scary costumes weren’t that original.

If you want to come up with couples costumes, you can go with the classics. I suspect that if I ever did this with my husband, the couple we would choose would not be a happy one, just for the fun of it. Perhaps we might choose couples costumes from famous couples who had rocky relationships. Though mushiness is great for some people, it’s just not for me. Perhaps my husband and I could be Scarlet and Rhett, or some other troubled couple that never seemed to get it right. We have a very good relationship, but we are not the lovely-dovey type, at least not in public.

If you are going to go out to buy Halloween Couples Costumes, perhaps you want to go with something completely original. This is not as hard as you might think. Anyone can choose a famous couple and decide to use that for their Halloween theme. Don’t expect to get a lot of points for originality if you do it this way. You can think of couples costumes that show you are a couple, while highlighting your sense of humor, and your sense of fun.

You can give the trick-or-treaters a double scare when they show up at your front door, or possibly be the best dressed at the local Halloween bash. The days of wrapping up in toilet paper to become a mummy are over. With the deluge of Halloween couple costumes and more at you very fingertips, you simply can’t go wrong.
